Giuseppe Bresso vs Roman Rodriguez

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 09/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Giuseppe Pie Bresso (8(6) - 2 - 2) who hails from Naples, Italy and Roman Rodriguez(12 - 1) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Both Bresso and Rodriguez weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Salido, and the three ringside judges are Billy Gracie, Blake Green and Bart Craw.  

Round 1: 

Rodriguez tries to land a jab, but Bresso slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Rodriguez walks Bresso down, trapping him in a corner.  Bresso tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rodriguez pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rodriguez hits home with a right uppercut.  
Rodriguez drives a right uppercut into Bresso's ribcage.  
Bresso tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

Bresso is looking to keep his distance.  Rodriguez tries to land a cross, but Bresso dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Rodriguez closes the distance.  Bresso throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Bresso clinches his opponent.  Bresso pushes his forearm into Rodriguez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bresso lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Bresso tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.

Bresso tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Bresso tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bresso lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Bresso steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Rodriguez sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bresso lands a stinging cross.  
Bresso hits home with a cross.  Bresso tries to land a jab, but Rodriguez slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bresso is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Bresso lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Bresso steps inside.  Rodriguez throws a left uppercut, but Bresso clinches his opponent.  Bresso leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bresso is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rodriguez attempts to land a jab, but Bresso sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bresso lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Bresso is looking to keep his distance.  Bresso senses Rodriguez is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Bresso lands a right uppercut followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Rodriguez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bresso tries to keep the action at long range and lands a spiteful jab.  Bresso throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rodriguez gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Bresso clinches his opponent.  Bresso is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rodriguez walks Bresso down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bresso hits home with a sharp cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rodriguez's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Rodriguez's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Bresso senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Bresso lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS RODRIGUEZ TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Rodriguez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bresso is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bresso lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rodriguez advances into close range.  Bresso is on target with a solid left uppercut to Rodriguez's body.  
Bresso tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Bresso finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Bresso lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Bresso is on target with a jab.  
Bresso lands a stiff jab.  
Bresso lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head, AND SENDS RODRIGUEZ TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Bresso!
