Hayden Bates vs David Rodie

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 24/02/2043:

Clearly GAT Management have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Hayden Bates (9(8) - 0) who hails from Indianapolis, USA and David Rodie(26 - 15(2) - 1) from Louisville, USA.  Both Bates and Rodie weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brendan Aitken, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, Launcelot Rozenthal and Tujan Racine.  

Round 1: 

Bates connects with a sharp right hook.  
Bates steps inside.  Bates quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rodie hits home with a left uppercut.  Bates holds on to his opponent.  Bates pushes his forearm into Rodie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bates about fouling.  
Bates digs in a right uppercut to Rodie's body.  
Bates lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  Bates ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bates gets on the inside.  Rodie digs in a left hook to Bates's body.  
Rodie throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Bates holds on to his opponent.  Bates is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rodie tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Rodie's body.  
Bates lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Bates pivots to the right of his opponent.  Rodie drives a left uppercut into Bates's body.  
Bates drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Bates is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Bates drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bates lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Bates is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Bates connects with a stinging right hook.

Bates forces Rodie to back into the ropes.  Bates lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Bates closes the distance.  Rodie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bates is on target with a solid left hook to Rodie's body.  
Bates lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Rodie lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Bates clinches his opponent.  Bates tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Rodie behind the head. 
Bates is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Rodie's ribs.  Bates tries to land a left hook, but Rodie blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bates connects with a solid left uppercut.  Bates tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.

Rodie manouvers Bates onto the ropes.  Rodie pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Rodie drives a left uppercut into Bates's body.  
Bates connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Bates manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Bates slams a big left uppercut into Rodie's body.  RODIE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bates attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rodie blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  Rodie quickly recovers. 
Bates is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bates lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rodie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Rodie's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Bates is looking to close the distance.  Rodie throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
