Amon Halloran vs Jawad Malek

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 16/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amon Hands Halloran (72(63) - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Milwaukee, USA and Jawad Malek(30(5) - 9(5) - 1) from Al Hudaydah, Yemen.  Halloran weighed in at 216 pounds and 5 ounces, while Malek weighed in at 239 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Adam Moreno, and the three ringside judges are Lee Copland, Lewis Suttie and Dave Markle.  

Round 1: 

Malek lands an overhand right.  
Malek is looking to close the distance.  Halloran is on target with a firm right uppercut to Malek's ribcage.  Halloran throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Halloran is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Malek steps inside.  Halloran pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Halloran steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Halloran is on target with a jab.  
Malek steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Halloran is looking to keep his distance and lands with a hard jab.  
Halloran hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Malek gets on the inside.  Halloran is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Malek is looking to close the distance and forces Halloran to back into the ropes.  Halloran connects with a solid right hook.  
Halloran pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook to Malek's body.  
Halloran lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Halloran tries to land a jab, but Malek slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Halloran lands a jab to the head, an overhand right to the head and a jab to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Halloran thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Malek away.  Halloran lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND SENDS MALEK TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Malek now seems to have his senses back.  
Malek closes the distance and drives a left hook into Halloran's body.  
Malek is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Malek pivots to the left of his opponent.  Halloran lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Malek recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Malek is on target with a right hook to Halloran's ribcage.  
Halloran tries to keep the action at long range.  Malek lands an overhand left.  
Malek gets on the inside.  Halloran pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malek tries to land an overhand right, but Halloran slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Malek is on target with a left hook.  
Halloran steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Malek closes the distance and walks Halloran down, trapping him on the ropes.  Malek connects with a left hook.  
Halloran lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Halloran lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Malek's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Malek's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Malek walks Halloran into the corner.  Malek lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Halloran connects with a stinging left hook.  
Halloran pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a solid right hook to Malek's body.  
Halloran is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Malek drives a right uppercut into Halloran's body.  
Malek lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Halloran steps away from his opponent.  Halloran lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Malek tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Halloran lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Malek steps inside.  Halloran is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Malek is looking to close the distance.  Halloran sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Halloran lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Halloran attempts to land an overhand right, but Malek slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Halloran sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Halloran lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Halloran lands a jab, overhand right and an overhand left to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Halloran knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Halloran connects with a SAVAGE right hook.  MALEK IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Malek is looking to close the distance and walks Halloran onto the ropes.  Halloran lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS MALEK!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Halloran!
