Rudi Laas vs Dierck Birkner

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at RheinEnergieStadium, Cologne,  taking place on 28/03/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Germany Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sport Deutschland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rudi Laas (45(31) - 10(8) - 1) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Dierck Birkner(19(4) - 12(8)) from Mannheim, Germany.  Both Laas and Birkner weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alhwin Saurer, and the three ringside judges are Erchanbold Schager, Spangler Samberg and Gofried Dehner.
