Pernell Carol vs Joaquin Rodriguez

Boxing Daily Report from the RingSlide España promoted show at Holiday Inn Madrid, Madrid,  taking place on 24/03/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the EU Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Pernell Carol (26(21) - 0) who hails from Anderlecht, Belgium and Joaquin Rodriguez(27(1) - 11(4) - 1) from Madrid, Spain.  Both Carol and Rodriguez weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Desiderio Morin, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Perales, Joaquin Osegueda and Vicente Borromeo.  

Round 1: 

Carol closes the distance and drives a stinging right hook into Rodriguez's body.  
Carol lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carol pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Carol advances into close range.  Carol quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  Rodriguez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carol dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Carol sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rodriguez finds the target with a jab.  
Carol advances into close range.  Carol pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Carol pivots to the left of his opponent.  Carol throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Carol clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Carol pushes his forearm into Rodriguez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carol lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carol feints a left hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Carol steps inside.  Carol pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Carol closes the distance.  Carol digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Carol quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a stinging left uppercut to Rodriguez's liver.  
Carol switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Carol advances into close range and walks Rodriguez into a corner.  Carol pivots from in front of his opponent.  Carol is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  Carol ties up his opponent.  Carol pushes his forearm into Rodriguez's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carol lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Rodriguez quickly recovers. 
Carol lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Carol ties up his opponent.  Carol pushes his forearm into Rodriguez's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carol about fouling.  
Carol is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Carol whips in a mean left uppercut to Rodriguez's body.  RODRIGUEZ IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Rodriguez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Carol closes the distance and digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Carol is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a hard jab.  
Rodriguez throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Carol attempts to land a jab, but Rodriguez blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Carol is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Rodriguez's ribs.  
Rodriguez pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Carol advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carol circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Rodriguez attempts to land a jab, but Carol parries the shot and counters with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  RODRIGUEZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Carol advances into close range.  Carol senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Carol lands two left hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS RODRIGUEZ DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Carol!
