Robert Obaraku vs Waleed Nouri

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Cross River State promoted show at Calabar Asonze, Calabar,  taking place on 02/04/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Cross River State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Obaraku (13(9) - 4(3)) who hails from Calabar, Nigeria and Waleed Nouri(1 - 5) from Calabar, Nigeria.  Obaraku weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Nouri weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hope Kayode, and the three ringside judges are Kunle Feghabo, Odion Osaguona and Odion Osaguona.  

Round 1: 

Obaraku is on target with a right hook to Nouri's body.  Obaraku clinches his opponent.  Obaraku hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Obaraku pushes his forearm into Nouri's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Obaraku.  
Obaraku steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Obaraku clinches his opponent.  Obaraku uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Nouri behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nouri closes the distance.  Obaraku lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nouri is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but Obaraku holds on to his opponent.  Obaraku leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Obaraku quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nouri throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Obaraku pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Nouri steps inside.  Obaraku lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Obaraku lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Obaraku clinches his opponent.  Obaraku leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Obaraku lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Obaraku is looking to close the distance and drives a firm right uppercut into Nouri's ribs.  
Obaraku steps inside and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  Obaraku attempts to land a left uppercut, but Nouri blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Obaraku forces Nouri to back into a corner.  Obaraku lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Obaraku lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!

Nouri advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Obaraku is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Obaraku dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nouri gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Obaraku ties up his opponent.  Nouri pushes his forearm into Obaraku's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Nouri about fouling.

That has caused slight damage to the nose.

Obaraku whips in a spiteful right uppercut to Nouri's body.  NOURI IS HURT!  As Nouri tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Obaraku dabs at his face checking for damage.  Obaraku has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  Nouri almost instantly recovers. 
Obaraku cuts off the ring, trapping Nouri in a neutral corner.  Obaraku lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Obaraku thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Nouri away.  Obaraku whips in a spiteful right uppercut to Nouri's ribcage.  NOURI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Nouri now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
