Santiago Alcazar vs Jack Cowans

Boxing Daily Report from the Jaromir Dobroniecki promoted show at UNF Arena, Jacksonville,  taking place on 18/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Alcazar (12(5) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Valencia, Spain and Jack Cowans(14 - 8 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  Alcazar weighed in at 125 pounds and 10 ounces, while Cowans weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Pettry, and the three ringside judges are Ian Hossack, Vince Wood and Pedro Mazo.  

Round 1: 

Alcazar closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Alcazar waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Cowans lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cowans.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
