John Gurganus vs John Breckon

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 17/06/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Long John Gurganus (59(48) - 5(2) - 2) who hails from Markham, Canada and John Breckon(10(1) - 8(6)) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Gurganus and Breckon weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jean-Baptiste Villon, and the three ringside judges are Paul Myron, Kian Clanahan and Brin Somerville.  

Round 1: 

Gurganus lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Gurganus lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Gurganus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Breckon quickly recovers. 
Gurganus drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Gurganus tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Breckon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gurganus's kidney. Gurganus pushes his forearm into Breckon's face.  The ref breaks Gurganus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Breckon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Breckon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Breckon attempts to land a left uppercut, but Gurganus blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Breckon lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Gurganus ties up his opponent.  Breckon pushes his forearm into Gurganus's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gurganus lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Breckon attempts to land a right uppercut, but Gurganus slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut to Breckon's ribcage.  
Gurganus switches the action to the outside.  Gurganus stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Breckon is on target with an overhand left.  Breckon throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Breckon gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Breckon throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Gurganus steps to the outside.  Gurganus sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Gurganus tries to land an overhand right, but Breckon sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gurganus lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gurganus lands a cross to the head, an overhand left to the head and a jab to the body.  
Gurganus lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Breckon walks Gurganus onto the ropes.  Gurganus throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Breckon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Breckon is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Gurganus clinches his opponent.  Breckon pushes his forearm into Gurganus's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Breckon.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Breckon's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Gurganus tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Gurganus lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Breckon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Breckon feints a left hook, and then lands a jab.
