Gennady Oshchepkov vs Mikhail Popov

Boxing Daily Report from the Ring star promoted show at Yubileyny Sports Palace, Saint Petersburg,  taking place on 16/05/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Saint Petersburg Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gennady Oshchepkov (24 - 4(1) - 2) who hails from Saint Petersburg, Russia and Mikhail Popov(11 - 19 - 4) from Saint Petersburg, Russia.  Oshchepkov weighed in at 146 pounds And 14 ounces, while Popov weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Toma Nestruyev, and the three ringside judges are Gennady Lipovsky, Ioakim Lvov and Fedor Olshansky.
