Joaquin Lacayo vs Nicandro Paul

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Gimnasio Fight Club, San Jose,  taking place on 24/04/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Costa Rica-San Jose Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Lacayo (6 - 4) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Nicandro Paul(13(1) - 9) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Both Lacayo and Paul weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sierra Abela, and the three ringside judges are Diego Giraldo, Hernan Lovato and Alejandro Callejas.  

Round 1: 

Paul advances into close range.  Lacayo throws a right hook, but Paul holds on to his opponent.  Paul pushes his forearm into Lacayo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Paul lands a sharp left hook.  
Paul advances into close range and manouvers Lacayo into a corner.  Lacayo is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Paul holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Paul pushes his forearm into Lacayo's face.  The ref breaks Paul's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Paul is on target with a right uppercut.  
Lacayo throws a left uppercut, but Paul ties up his opponent.  Paul pushes his forearm into Lacayo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Paul about fouling.  
Paul lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  Paul ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Paul pushes his forearm into Lacayo's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Paul.

Paul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Paul lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lacayo dabs at his face checking for damage.
