Eoin Slane vs Michael McGuinness

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 09/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Irish Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Slayer Eoin Slane (26(14) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Michael McGuinness(12 - 18(3) - 3) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Slane and McGuinness weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clinton MacAdam, and the three ringside judges are Charlie Brisbane, Michael Corcoran and Lorcan Coleman.  

Round 1: 

Slane hits home with a ramrod jab.  Slane tries to land a jab, but McGuinness blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Slane lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Slane finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Slane switches the action to the outside.  Slane feints a jab, and then lands an overhand left.  
Slane hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Slane is on target with a sharp overhand left.  Slane attempts to land a jab, but McGuinness blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Slane lands a ramrod jab.  
Slane lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Slane hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Slane lands a hard jab.  
Slane lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Slane lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Slane lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Slane lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Slane is on target with a jab to McGuinness's body.  
Slane hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Slane sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Slane feints a cross, but McGuinness is not fooled and is on target with a cross.  
McGuinness attempts to land a jab, but Slane blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Slane sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Slane lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Slane lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS MCGUINNESS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Slane steps to the outside.  McGuinness could be stopped here, if Slane can find the right shot!  Slane lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND MCGUINNESS IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  McGuinness now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McGuinness's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  McGuinness's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McGuinness's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

McGuinness lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Slane lands a ramrod jab.  
Slane is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Slane senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Slane lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING MCGUINNESS DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but McGuinness is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Slane!
