John Kanda vs Waqas Azimi

Boxing Daily Report from the Coetzee Promotions promoted show at Josh Kwofie Gym, Kumasi,  taking place on 25/04/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Kanda (11 - 8) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Waqas Azimi(24 - 10 - 7 - 1(NC)) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Kanda weighed in at 126 pounds, while Azimi weighed in at 125 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mason Attoh, and the three ringside judges are Louis Nkrumah, Vincent Lamptey and Bradley Bariagher.  

Round 1: 

Azimi steps inside and tries to land a left hook, but Kanda blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kanda tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Azimi sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Azimi advances into close range.  As Azimi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kanda dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Azimi cuts off the ring, trapping Kanda in the corner.  Kanda throws a right hook, but Azimi clinches his opponent.  Kanda is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kanda throws a left hook, but Azimi ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Azimi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Azimi lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Kanda sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Azimi is on target with a cross.  
Azimi gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Kanda's ribs.  
Azimi closes the distance.  Kanda throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
