Liam Connell vs Karl Connolly

Boxing Daily Report from the Iain Llewellyn promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 05/05/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Celtic Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Liam The Fortress Connell (21(5) - 1 - 1) who hails from Swords, Ireland and Karl Connolly(29(1) - 21(13) - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Connell and Connolly weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Rafferty, and the three ringside judges are Leon Finnin, Joshua MacCarthy and Fionn Delaney.  

Round 1: 

Connell gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Connell is looking to close the distance.  Connolly attempts to land a right hook, but Connell blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Connell lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Connell lands a solid left hook.

Connolly tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.

Connell is looking to keep his distance and connects with a solid overhand left.  Connell throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Connell gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS CONNOLLY DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Connolly quickly recovers.

Connolly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Connolly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Connolly snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  Connolly tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to Connolly's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Connolly's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Connell whips in a spiteful left uppercut to Connolly's ribs.  CONNOLLY IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Connell manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Connell digs in a right hook to Connolly's body.  
Connell lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Connell is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Connolly's ribcage.  
Connell advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Connell forces Connolly to back into the ropes.  Connell lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Connell is looking to close the distance.  Connell is on target with a right hook.  
Connell closes the distance and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Connolly sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Connell tries to step out of his opponents range.  Connolly sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Connolly attempts to land a cross, but Connell sidesteps and counters with a weighty left uppercut to Connolly's liver.  CONNOLLY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Connolly steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Connell slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Connolly's body.  
Connell lands two jabs followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Connell lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Connell closes the distance.  Connell thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Connolly away.  Connell lands a left hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS CONNOLLY TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Connell!
