Dillon Abbott vs Amand Rossouw

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Manchester Arena, Manchester,  taking place on 30/05/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dillon Abbott (7(2) - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Amand Rossouw(33 - 18(9) - 2) from Durban, South Africa.  Both Abbott and Rossouw weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is William McCorkel, and the three ringside judges are Max Smith, Robert Boduch and Stuart McCormick.  

Round 1: 

Abbott is on target with a cross.

Abbott lands a sharp cross.  
Abbott is on target with a cross.  
Rossouw tries to keep the action at long range.  Abbott feints a cross, but Rossouw ignores the feint and responds with a right hook.  
Abbott stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Rossouw throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Abbott throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Abbott is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Abbott steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Rossouw sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Abbott lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Rossouw walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Abbott sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Abbott lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES ROSSOUW!  He manages to get up at 4.  Rossouw now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Abbott steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Abbott lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Abbott tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.  
Rossouw pivots from in front of his opponent.  Rossouw lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Rossouw attempts to land a cross, but Abbott slips the shot and counters with a forceful right hook to Rossouw's ribs.  ROSSOUW WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Abbott steps to the outside.  Abbott stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Abbott lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Rossouw now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Abbott gets on the inside and digs in a right uppercut to Rossouw's body.  Abbott clinches his opponent.  Abbott is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Abbott to stop fouling.  
Rossouw throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Abbott switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Abbott drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.

Abbott tries to land a cross, but Rossouw dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Abbott is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  ROSSOUW WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Abbott ties up his opponent.  Rossouw pushes his forearm into Abbott's face.  The referee warns Rossouw and breaks the clinch.  
The right shot from Abbott could be enough to force the stoppage!  Abbott lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS ROSSOUW TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Rossouw has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abbott's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Rossouw's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
