John Kellis vs Max Williams

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Vodafone Event Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 22/05/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Kellis (4 - 0) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Max Williams(3 - 2) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Kellis weighed in at 122 pounds, while Williams weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is James Oakley, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Mareroa, Justin Kahukakanui and Opi Ngaikiha.  

Round 1: 

Williams throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Kellis feints a left, and then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Williams is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Kellis clinches his opponent.  Kellis pushes his forearm into Williams's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kellis lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  Kellis ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Kellis pushes his forearm into Williams's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kellis.  
Kellis steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Williams throws a left hook, but Kellis ties up his opponent.  Kellis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Kellis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kellis steps inside and drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Kellis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kellis pivots from in front of his opponent and crashes a big right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE WILLIAMS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Williams quickly recovers. 
Kellis pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Kellis gets on the inside.  Williams throws a right hook, but Kellis ties up his opponent.  Kellis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kellis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kellis lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Kellis is on target with a solid cross.  
Williams steps inside.  Kellis drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  Kellis ties up his opponent.  Kellis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kellis lands a firm cross.  
Kellis is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Williams closes the distance.  Kellis lands a left hook.  
Kellis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Williams throws a right hook, but Kellis clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kellis steps inside and manouvers Williams into a corner.  Kellis lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Williams's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Williams's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Williams's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
