James Banks vs Tim Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 28/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Banks (23(8) - 13(1) - 4) who hails from Dundee, UK and Tim Hughes(6 - 4(1) - 1) from Cardiff, UK.  Banks weighed in at 115 pounds, while Hughes weighed in at 115 pounds and 11 ounces.    As Hughes came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ed McPhatter, and the three ringside judges are Thomas Ryan, William Owen and Peter McWethy.  

Round 1: 

Banks gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Hughes's body.  Banks holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Banks pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Banks steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Hughes's body.  Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hughes throws a right hook, but Banks ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Banks pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Banks cuts off the ring, trapping Hughes in a corner.  Banks is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Banks sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES HUGHES!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Hughes tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Hughes throws a right hook, but Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Banks.  
Hughes throws a left uppercut, but Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Banks lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Hughes attempts to land a right hook, but Banks blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hughes throws a left uppercut, but Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hughes behind the head. The referee warns Banks and breaks the clinch.  
Banks lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Banks lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Banks knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Banks crashes a hurtful left uppercut to his opponents liver.  HUGHES IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Hughes has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Banks advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Banks and breaks the clinch.  
Banks sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Hughes's liver.  
Banks is on target with a forceful right hook to Hughes's ribcage.  HUGHES IS HURT!  
Banks is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Banks slams a DESTRUCTIVE right hook into his opponents body.  HUGHES IS DOWN!  THE REF IMMEDIATELY WAVES OFF THE FIGHT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Banks!
