Bongani Cardoso vs Carlos Monterroso

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex, Yaoundé,  taking place on 02/05/2043:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Bongani Cardoso (1 - 0) who hails from Katlehong, South Africa and Carlos Monterroso(15 - 15 - 4) from Cabuyao, Philippines.  Both Cardoso and Monterroso weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sezni Ipoua, and the three ringside judges are Josce Mbongo, Marin Mbuta and Rance Batinga.  

Round 1: 

Cardoso lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Cardoso sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Cardoso throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Cardoso clinches his opponent.  Cardoso tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Monterroso behind the head.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cardoso.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
