Joshua Mullen vs Mason Alm

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at UIC Pavilion, Chicago,  taking place on 05/06/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joshua Mullen (6(2) - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Mason Alm(1 - 1) from Columbus, USA.  Both Mullen and Alm weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Dockter, and the three ringside judges are David Ridall, Dave Filipski and Hugh Riach.  

Round 1: 

Alm pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Alm switches the action to the outside.  Mullen lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mullen closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mullen clinches his opponent.  Mullen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mullen.  
Alm steps to the outside.  Mullen hits home with a stinging jab.  
Mullen steps inside and drives a right hook into Alm's body.  
Mullen advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Mullen holds on to his opponent.  Mullen pushes his forearm into Alm's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mullen about fouling.  
Mullen is looking to close the distance.  Alm throws a left hook, but Mullen ties up his opponent.  Mullen uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Alm behind the head. 
Mullen lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mullen manages to force Alm onto the ropes.  Mullen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mullen hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Alm throws a left hook, but Mullen holds on to his opponent.  Mullen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mullen lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mullen drives a right hook into Alm's body.  
Alm throws a left hook, but Mullen holds on to his opponent.  Mullen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mullen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Mullen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Mullen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Alm tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Mullen closes the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.

Mullen walks Alm down, trapping him in a corner.  Mullen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mullen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Alm pivots to the side of his opponent.  Alm attempts to land a cross, but Mullen sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alm's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Alm's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Alm switches the action to the outside.  Mullen lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mullen closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Mullen is on target with a left hook.  
Alm attempts to land a jab, but Mullen sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Alm lands a cross.  
Mullen advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mullen digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Mullen is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp right hook into Alm's ribs.  
Mullen gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Mullen lands a cross to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Mullen gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left hook.  
Alm is looking to keep his distance.  Mullen lands with a stinging jab.  
Mullen lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Alm almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mullen steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mullen feints a right, and then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Mullen gets on the inside and digs in a left uppercut to Alm's body.  
Mullen hits home with a firm cross.  
Mullen closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND ALM IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Alm quickly recovers. 
Alm throws a right hook, but Mullen clinches his opponent.  Mullen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mullen lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mullen forces Alm to retreat into the corner.  Mullen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Mullen digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Mullen is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Alm throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Mullen clinches his opponent.  Mullen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mullen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Alm's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Alm's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
