David Cooney vs Mel Jones

Boxing Daily Report from the Iain Llewellyn promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 17/07/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Western Europe Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Cú Chulainn Cooney (33(20) - 2(2)) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Mel Jones(17(1) - 6(3)) from Cardiff, UK.  Cooney weighed in at 117 pounds and 11 ounces, while Jones weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shamus Quirke, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Carroll, Conor Whalen and Joshua Dermott.  

Round 1:
