Paul Whetten vs Joshua Mingus

Boxing Daily Report from the The wright promotion promoted show at Kingston Smiles, Kingston,  taking place on 06/06/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Kingston Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Whetten (6 - 4 - 2) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Joshua Mingus(6 - 2 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Whetten weighed in at 125 pounds and 11 ounces, while Mingus weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Geoff Torrence, and the three ringside judges are Rob Nivison, Jacob Pye and Geoff Torrence.  

Round 1: 

Mingus manages to force Whetten onto the ropes.  Mingus hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mingus closes the distance.  Whetten is on target with a left hook to Mingus's body.  
Whetten tries to land a jab, but Mingus sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Whetten switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.
