Connor Yee vs Abdul Salem

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 14/06/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Connor Yee (9 - 7(2) - 7 - 1(NC)) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Abdul Salem(6(4) - 1 - 1) from Shah Alam, Malaysia.  Both Yee and Salem weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amjad Ebrahimi, and the three ringside judges are Syed Kamel, Danyaal Kharoti and Bing Leung.  

Round 1: 

Salem lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Salem clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Salem pushes his forearm into Yee's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Yee steps to the outside and drives a jab into Salem's body.

Yee attempts to land a right hook, but Salem sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Yee lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Yee switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Salem gets on the inside and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Yee is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Salem gets on the inside.  Salem pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Yee quickly recovers.
