Yulian Petrik vs Floyd McAfee

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at O2 Academy, Newcastle,  taking place on 28/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Yulian Petrik (10(9) - 1) who hails from Poltava, Ukraine and Floyd McAfee(12 - 10(2) - 3) from Cork, Ireland.  Petrik weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces, while McAfee weighed in at 167 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Kennedy, and the three ringside judges are Robert McQueen, Spencer McBride and Gyn Gwenn.  

Round 1: 

McAfee closes the distance.  Petrik lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Petrik holds on to his opponent.  Petrik is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Petrik lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Petrik is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Petrik ties up his opponent.  Petrik pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Petrik to stop fouling.  
McAfee manouvers Petrik onto the ropes.  McAfee tries to land a left hook, but Petrik blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
McAfee steps inside.  Petrik pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McAfee almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Petrik pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Petrik lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrik steps away from his opponent.  Petrik quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Petrik lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Petrik steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrik tries to step out of his opponents range and hits the target with a solid jab.

McAfee walks Petrik onto the ropes.  Petrik is on target with a jab.  
McAfee is looking to close the distance.  Petrik lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND MCAFEE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  McAfee almost instantly gets his legs back.

McAfee closes the distance and manages to force Petrik onto the ropes.  Petrik lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Petrik tries to keep the action at long range and lands a spiteful jab.  
McAfee advances into close range.  Petrik lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Petrik holds on to his opponent.  Petrik uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McAfee behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Petrik.  McAfee almost instantly recovers. 
Petrik is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  McAfee tries to land a jab, but Petrik sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Petrik lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McAfee's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  McAfee's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McAfee's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Petrik lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Petrik is on target with a jab.  
Petrik lands a firm cross.  
Petrik lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Petrik lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McAfee steps inside.  Petrik EXPLODES a nasty right uppercut into his opponents face.  MCAFEE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Petrik switches the action to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
McAfee could be stopped here, if Petrik can find the right shot!  Petrik lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MCAFEE TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but McAfee cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Petrik!
