Joey Saam vs Arnald Meiser

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 15/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Big Bam Saam (76(70) - 2(1)) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Arnald Meiser(25(5) - 10(3) - 1) from Vienna, Austria.  Saam weighed in at 147 pounds, while Meiser weighed in at 146 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joey Catherwood, and the three ringside judges are James Kay, Dillon Downey and Brin Howden.  

Round 1: 

Meiser tries to land a jab, but Saam slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Saam lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Saam is looking to keep his distance.  Meiser hits the target with a hard jab.  
Saam hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Meiser tries to land a jab, but Saam slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Saam advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Meiser sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Saam is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a hard jab.  
Meiser gets on the inside.  Saam lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Meiser pushes his forearm into Saam's face.  The referee warns Meiser and breaks the clinch.  
Saam connects with a firm left hook.  
Meiser steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Saam throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the punch.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Saam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Saam switches the action to the outside and EXPLODES a CRUSHING overhand right into his opponents face.  MEISER IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Saam hits home with a cross.  
Meiser lands a cross.  
Saam sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a solid overhand right.  
Saam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Meiser lands a right hook.  
Meiser lands a cross.  
Saam switches the action to the outside.  Meiser throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Meiser cuts off the ring, trapping Saam on the ropes.  Saam drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Saam lands with a ramrod jab.  
Meiser steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Saam on the ropes.  Meiser throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a FIERCE left hook.  MEISER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Meiser quickly recovers. 
Meiser lands a solid jab.  Meiser attempts to land a cross, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Meiser pivots to the right of his opponent.  Meiser throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Saam steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Meiser walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Saam lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Saam is on target with a stinging right hook to Meiser's body.  Saam tries to land a left hook, but Meiser slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Saam pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stiff jab.  
Saam is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Meiser finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Meiser lands with a solid jab.

Meiser gets on the inside.  Saam lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Saam pushes his forearm into Meiser's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Saam attempts to land a jab, but Meiser sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Saam switches the action to the outside.  Saam sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with an overhand left.  
Meiser walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Saam lands with a ramrod jab.  
Saam tries to keep the action at long range and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Saam is on target with a solid cross.  
Saam lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Meiser attempts to land a jab, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a WICKED cross.  MEISER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Meiser quickly recovers.

Meiser closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Meiser throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Saam throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Saam is on target with a stinging cross.  
Saam finds the target with a jab.  
Saam lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  Saam attempts to land a jab, but Meiser slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

Saam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Meiser tries to land a jab, but Saam slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS left uppercut.  MEISER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Meiser almost instantly gets his legs back.

Saam digs in a sharp left hook to Meiser's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE MEISER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Saam throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Saam is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Saam lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND MEISER IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Meiser has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Meiser steps inside and walks Saam onto the ropes.  Meiser attempts to land a left uppercut, but Saam blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.

Saam switches the action to the outside.  Saam stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Meiser is on target with a cross to Saam's body.  
Saam lands a stinging jab.  
Meiser is looking to close the distance.  Saam connects with a firm left hook.  
Saam is on target with a nasty cross.  MEISER IS HURT!  
Meiser now seems to have his senses back.  
Saam lands a cross to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Meiser closes the distance.  Saam is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Saam holds on to his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Saam throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Saam to stop fouling.  
Saam steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Saam lands a jab, right hook and a jab to his opponents head.  
Saam advances into close range.  Meiser throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Saam time to recover.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Meiser's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Saam tries to keep the action at long range.  Saam feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2, AND SENDS MEISER SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Meiser now seems to have got his legs back.  
Meiser is looking to close the distance.  Saam lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Saam sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MEISER!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Saam!
