Zachary Elliot vs Vicente Puerto

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Sun Life Stadium, Miami,  taking place on 25/07/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zachary Eagle Eye Elliot (43(21) - 7(6) - 1) who hails from Anaheim, USA and Vicente Puerto(45(35) - 7(5)) from General Trias, Philippines.  Both Elliot and Puerto weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Hyslop, and the three ringside judges are Max Merrick, Mark Pettry and Vince Wood.  

Round 1: 

Elliot tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.

Puerto lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Elliot wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Puerto dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Puerto steps inside and walks Elliot down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Puerto digs in a left hook to Elliot's body.  
Puerto drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Puerto attempts to land a left hook, but Elliot parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Elliot steps away from his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.

Puerto forces Elliot to retreat onto the ropes.  Elliot connects with a stinging right hook.  Elliot attempts to land a left hook, but Puerto sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Elliot's body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Puerto's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Puerto's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
