Rob Gordon vs Mark Perepe

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Manfeild Stadium, Wellington,  taking place on 19/06/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Gordon (5(3) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Mark Perepe(19 - 28(1) - 6) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Gordon and Perepe weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jonathan Laurie, and the three ringside judges are Oraora Pareraukawa, Mel Binner and Gareth Page.  

Round 1: 

Gordon gets on the inside.  Gordon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gordon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gordon cuts off the ring, trapping Perepe in the corner.  Gordon connects with a firm right hook.  
Gordon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Gordon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Perepe throws a right hook, but Gordon ties up his opponent.  Gordon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Gordon and breaks the clinch.  
Gordon drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Gordon lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.

Gordon closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Gordon manouvers Perepe into a corner.  Gordon lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gordon lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Gordon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Perepe throws a right hook, but Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Perepe behind the head.

Gordon voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Perepe tries to tag Gordon on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

Gordon steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Gordon gets on the inside.  Perepe is clearly losing his cool here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref ignores Gordon's protests and signals for the action to continue!

Perepe is not fighting as well as he'd like.   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  The ref halts the action and sends Gordon to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Perepe and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.  
Gordon lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
