John Kellis vs Tobias Curtis

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Porritt Stadium, Hamilton,  taking place on 24/07/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Kellis (5(1) - 0) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Tobias Curtis(9 - 14(1) - 6 - 1(NC)) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Both Kellis and Curtis weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leeroy Moreland, and the three ringside judges are George Addair, Wayne Skillen and Michael Pareraukawa.  

Round 1: 

Kellis lands a jab.  
Curtis connects with a right hook.  
Kellis closes the distance and hits home with a sharp left hook.

Kellis lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Curtis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kellis lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Curtis manages to force Kellis onto the ropes.  Kellis is on target with a solid right hook.  
Kellis lands a left uppercut.  
Curtis drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Kellis holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Kellis lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Curtis throws a left hook, but Kellis holds on to his opponent.  Kellis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Kellis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Kellis throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kellis lands a firm right hook.  
Kellis closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Kellis is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Kellis lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kellis drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Kellis lands a right hook.  
Kellis drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  Kellis holds on to his opponent.  Kellis uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Curtis's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Curtis dabs at his face checking for damage.  Curtis has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Kellis throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Kellis's body.  
Kellis lands a double left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING CURTIS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Kellis senses Curtis is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Kellis lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  It looks like Curtis has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Curtis's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Kellis lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  Kellis clinches his opponent.  Kellis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Kellis to stop holding.

Kellis slams a hurtful left hook into Curtis's liver.  Curtis now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
