Taro Abe vs Nori Hasegawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Ekstein Promotions promoted show at Fukuoka Matsuoka, Fukuoka,  taking place on 28/06/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Taro Abe (5(3) - 1) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Nori Hasegawa(7 - 9(1) - 3) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  Abe weighed in at 117 pounds And 13 ounces, while Hasegawa weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nao Kuse, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Kawai, Daichi Sada and Ryo Kaba.  

Round 1: 

Hasegawa tries to step out of his opponents range.  Abe lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hasegawa steps away from his opponent.  Abe lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hasegawa tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Abe lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hasegawa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Abe lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hasegawa pivots to the side of his opponent.  Abe lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Hasegawa switches the action to the outside.  Abe throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Abe advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Abe walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Abe pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Abe pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Hasegawa throws a right uppercut, but Abe holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Abe pushes his forearm into Hasegawa's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Abe lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Abe is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Abe gets on the inside.  Hasegawa sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hasegawa attempts to land a right hook, but Abe slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Abe is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hasegawa's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Hasegawa's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Hasegawa is looking to keep his distance.  Abe lands a cross.  
Abe sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp cross into Hasegawa's body.  
Abe gets on the inside and walks Hasegawa onto the ropes.  Abe lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.

Abe gets on the inside and manages to force Hasegawa into a corner.  Abe lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Abe lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Abe lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS HASEGAWA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Hasegawa pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Abe is looking to close the distance and slams a nasty right uppercut into Hasegawa's ribs.  HASEGAWA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Abe is looking to force the stoppage!  Abe lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND DROPS HASEGAWA!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Hasegawa now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
