Joel Noda vs Jose Ascencio

Boxing Daily Report from the Run For 1 promoted show at Ian Balubal Gym, Cebu City,  taking place on 30/06/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Cebu Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Noda (6 - 7) who hails from Cebu City, Philippines and Jose Ascencio(8 - 4 - 2) from Mandaue, Philippines.  Both Noda and Ascencio weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Baliad, and the three ringside judges are Miguel Gannod, Fanuco Cabili and Robert Ramon.  

Round 1: 

Ascencio steps to the outside.  Noda feints a jab, but Ascencio ignores the feint and lands with a right uppercut.

Ascencio is looking to keep his distance.  Noda lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Noda gets on the inside.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Noda dabs at his face checking for damage.
