Leighton Speedy vs Andy Kimmons

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Texas promoted show at Houston Lemmond, Houston,  taking place on 06/07/2043:

Clearly AI USA-Texas have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Speedy (6 - 18) who hails from Houston, USA and Andy Kimmons(8 - 19 - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Both Speedy and Kimmons weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leo Ovens, and the three ringside judges are Bob Gory, Floyd Celestino and Ian Hesson.  

Round 1: 

Speedy tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kimmons sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Speedy lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Speedy steps inside.  Kimmons pivots from in front of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Speedy dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Speedy.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Speedy is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Speedy tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kimmons drives a cross into Speedy's body.  
Kimmons gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Speedy's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
