Jack Bird vs John Gurganus

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Bell Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 26/09/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jack Bird (13(9) - 0) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Long John Gurganus(60(49) - 5(2) - 2) from Markham, Canada.  Both Bird and Gurganus weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Varocher Painchaud, and the three ringside judges are James Mabon, Destin Dauphin and Brendan Aitken.
