Santiago Coito vs Ovidio Sergio

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 12/09/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Coito (9(4) - 3 - 1) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and Ovidio Sergio(25(5) - 5(4)) from Havana, Cuba.  Coito weighed in at 117 pounds and 13 ounces, while Sergio weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Max Pont, and the three ringside judges are John Malpass, Seth Frith and Michael Torry.  

Round 1: 

Coito tries to step out of his opponents range.  Coito quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sergio tries to land a jab, but Coito slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Coito connects with a solid cross.  Coito tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sergio gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sergio tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Coito sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sergio is on target with a hard jab.  
Sergio advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Sergio cuts off the ring, trapping Coito on the ropes.  Coito drives a weighty right hook into his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE SERGIO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sergio almost instantly recovers. 
Coito lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Sergio steps inside.  As Sergio tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Coito dabs at his face checking for damage.

Sergio throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a VICIOUS left hook.  SERGIO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sergio quickly recovers.

Sergio steps inside.  Sergio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Coito is on target with a firm right hook to Sergio's body.  
Sergio attempts to land a left hook, but Coito parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Coito digs in a weighty left hook to Sergio's ribs.  SERGIO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sergio almost instantly recovers.

Sergio advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  Sergio throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Coito switches the action to the outside.  Sergio lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Sergio sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a hard jab.  
Sergio is looking to close the distance and forces Coito to back into the ropes.  Sergio pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Coito's ribs.

Coito steps away from his opponent and is on target with a sharp overhand left.  
Sergio steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Coito lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sergio gets on the inside and forces Coito to retreat into the corner.  Coito is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Coito is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Coito is looking to keep his distance.  Sergio lands a cross.  Sergio tries to land a jab, but Coito slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.

Sergio feints a cross, and then throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a CRUSHING cross.  SERGIO IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.
