Ian Casey vs Robert McConkie

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions V2 promoted show at Ron MacAdams Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 18/07/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ian Casey (1 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Robert McConkie(1 - 6(1)) from Liverpool, UK.  Casey weighed in at 140 pounds, while McConkie weighed in at 139 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John McBride, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Sprout, William Taylor and Wayne Latham.  

Round 1: 

Casey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McConkie throws a left hook, but Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey pushes his forearm into McConkie's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Casey lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Casey steps inside.  McConkie throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Casey clinches his opponent.  Casey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Casey.  
Casey tries to land a right hook, but McConkie blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McConkie is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Casey drives a left hook into McConkie's body.  
Casey lands a sharp right hook.  
Casey lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
McConkie throws a left hook, but Casey clinches his opponent.  Casey throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Casey closes the distance and digs in a right hook to McConkie's body.  
Casey drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Casey clinches his opponent.  Casey hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Casey lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Casey closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Casey ties up his opponent.  Casey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Casey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Casey lands a right uppercut followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Casey drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Casey is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Casey lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Casey forces McConkie to back into a corner.  Casey lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McConkie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McConkie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McConkie's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Casey is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Casey clinches his opponent.  Casey leans on his opponent using all his weight. Casey uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McConkie behind the head. 
Casey digs in a sharp right hook to McConkie's body.  
Casey lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Casey clinches his opponent.  Casey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Casey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Casey.  
Casey stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Casey drives a weighty right uppercut into McConkie's body.  MCCONKIE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like McConkie has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Casey sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Casey lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING MCCONKIE DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Casey!
