Rex McNiff vs Gazi Rassi

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 03/08/2043:

Clearly Plunder Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rex McNiff (11(6) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Gazi Rassi(9 - 5 - 1) from London, UK.  Both McNiff and Rassi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tom Crowe, and the three ringside judges are Gordon MacDuff, Angus Greenaway and Patrick Gauld.  

Round 1: 

McNiff gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
McNiff pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rassi dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McNiff advances into close range and drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents body.  
McNiff lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McNiff throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  McNiff ties up his opponent.  McNiff leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McNiff digs in a left hook to Rassi's body.  
McNiff is on target with a left hook to Rassi's body.  
Rassi throws a right hook, but McNiff clinches his opponent.  McNiff is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns McNiff and breaks the clinch.  
McNiff lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  McNiff ties up his opponent.  McNiff uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rassi behind the head.

McNiff closes the distance and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
McNiff lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McNiff manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Rassi tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
McNiff throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  McNiff clinches his opponent.  McNiff is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McNiff closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
McNiff drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
McNiff lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Rassi closes the distance.  McNiff lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McNiff lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
McNiff lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
McNiff lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

McNiff walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Rassi connects with a right uppercut.  McNiff holds on to his opponent.  McNiff is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns McNiff and breaks the clinch.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rassi's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Rassi's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
