Fresco Basto vs Vicente Belen

Boxing Daily Report from the Kirya Promotions promoted show at Venezuela-Bolivar Gym, Ciudad Guayana,  taking place on 15/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fresco Basto (22 - 12(5) - 1) who hails from Barcelona, Venezuela and Vicente Belen(33(22) - 15(12)) from Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela.  Both Basto and Belen weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vegas Lino, and the three ringside judges are Angel Malagon, Joaquin Manriquez and Carlos Brasil.  

Round 1: 

Basto tries to keep the action at long range.  Belen attempts to land a jab, but Basto sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Belen closes the distance.  Basto throws a left hook, but Belen clinches his opponent.  Belen pushes his forearm into Basto's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Belen walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Belen drives a left uppercut into Basto's ribs.  
Belen lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Belen clinches his opponent.  Belen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Basto tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Belen is on target with a firm right hook to Basto's ribs.  
Belen digs in a firm right hook to Basto's body.  
Belen is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Basto's ribcage.

Basto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Basto throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Belen's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Basto switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Belen closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Basto's ribs.  
Basto tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Belen throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Belen drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Belen is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Belen digs in a right hook to Basto's ribcage.  
Basto steps away from his opponent.  Belen lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Belen advances into close range.  Basto pivots to the right of his opponent.  Belen digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Basto is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Basto's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Basto's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Basto's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Belen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.

Basto steps to the outside and lands a jab.

Belen lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Belen sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Belen digs in a sharp left uppercut to Basto's ribs.  Belen clinches his opponent.  Belen uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Basto behind the head. Belen hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Basto throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

THE REF DOES NOT GIVE BASTO THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Belen!
