Des Nixon vs Gethin Phillips

Boxing Daily Report from the Global Boxing Promotion promoted show at Village Resort Hotel, Blackpool,  taking place on 18/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern England Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Des Nixon (4 - 2(1)) who hails from Sunderland, UK and Gethin Phillips(16(2) - 18(2)) from Doncaster, UK.  Nixon weighed in at 159 pounds and 1 ounces, while Phillips weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Crumlish, and the three ringside judges are Jamie McNabb, Kai Comrie and Matthew McAlister.
