Vincent Linton vs Mark Lawrie

Boxing Daily Report from the Kanda Promotions promoted show at Surrey Uren, Surrey,  taking place on 19/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vincent Linton (7 - 14 - 1) who hails from Richmond, Canada and Mark Lawrie(26(17) - 10(7)) from Burnaby, Canada.  Linton weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces, while Lawrie weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Jones, and the three ringside judges are Noah Tedford, Spencer Clary and John Hendren.  

Round 1: 

Lawrie gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  Lawrie ties up his opponent.  Lawrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lawrie hits home with a right hook.  
Lawrie lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Lawrie closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Lawrie feints a jab, tricking Linton into countering with a left uppercut.  Lawrie is waiting for the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Lawrie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lawrie lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Lawrie ties up his opponent.  Lawrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lawrie to stop fouling.  
Lawrie walks Linton into the red corner.  Lawrie lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Lawrie lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Linton switches the action to the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Lawrie advances into close range.  Lawrie pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lawrie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Lawrie holds on to his opponent.  Lawrie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Lawrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lawrie.  
Lawrie walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Lawrie hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Lawrie throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Lawrie ties up his opponent.  Lawrie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Lawrie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lawrie lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Lawrie holds on to his opponent.  Lawrie hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lawrie steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Lawrie manouvers Linton into the corner.  Lawrie lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Lawrie is on target with a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Linton's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Linton's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Linton's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Linton's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Lawrie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Lawrie lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Lawrie ties up his opponent.  Lawrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Lawrie and breaks the clinch.  
Lawrie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Linton almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Linton throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Lawrie lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Lawrie hits home with a right hook.  
Lawrie lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Lawrie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Lawrie lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Lawrie digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lawrie digs in a sharp right hook to Linton's ribcage.  Lawrie tries to land a left hook, but Linton sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lawrie steps inside and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Lawrie is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a firm cross.  
Linton sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lawrie lands with a hard jab.  
Lawrie lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lawrie lands a right hook.  
Lawrie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a MASSIVE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE LINTON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Lawrie sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Lawrie lands two left uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES LINTON!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Lawrie!
