Gig Grimaldo vs Sagaz Carreras

Boxing Daily Report from the Vilakazi Promotions promoted show at Cruz Mellado Gym, San Bernardo,  taking place on 21/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gig Grimaldo (9 - 9(2) - 2) who hails from La Florida, Chile and Sagaz Carreras(3 - 6 - 2) from Puente Alto, Chile.  Both Grimaldo and Carreras weighed in at 139 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Lama, and the three ringside judges are Fanuco Sison, Angel Lebron and Santiago Burgos.  

Round 1: 

Carreras connects with a cross.  
Grimaldo hits home with a left uppercut.  
Grimaldo cuts off the ring, trapping Carreras in the corner.  Grimaldo feints a cross, and then tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Grimaldo's body.
