Juan Palma vs Juan Covarrubias

Boxing Daily Report from the Habe Promotions promoted show at Porfio Tijerina Gym, Quito,  taking place on 21/08/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Palma (6 - 29 - 4) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Juan Covarrubias(7(3) - 0) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Palma and Covarrubias weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rafael Madray, and the three ringside judges are Hernan Alameda, Ovidio Vallez and Jose Buitrago.  

Round 1: 

Palma closes the distance.  Covarrubias is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Covarrubias steps inside.  Covarrubias sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Covarrubias lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Covarrubias ties up his opponent.  Covarrubias is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Palma lands a jab.  
Covarrubias advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Covarrubias lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Covarrubias is looking to close the distance.  Palma throws a right uppercut, but Covarrubias clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Covarrubias pushes his forearm into Palma's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Covarrubias about fouling.  
Covarrubias advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Covarrubias clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Covarrubias pushes his forearm into Palma's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Covarrubias.

Covarrubias leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Covarrubias's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Covarrubias walks Palma down, trapping him on the ropes.  Covarrubias drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Covarrubias connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Covarrubias is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Covarrubias lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Palma steps to the outside and connects with a cross.
