Justin Fylan vs John Tedford

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at SECC Hall, Glasgow,  taking place on 25/08/2043:

Clearly Plunder Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Justin Fylan (10(9) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and John Tedford(12(8) - 3(2)) from Bournemouth, UK.  Both Fylan and Tedford weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Thomas Ryan, and the three ringside judges are Iain MacCracken, Andy Jones and Peter Cullen.  

Round 1: 

Fylan crashes a hurtful left uppercut to Tedford's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE TEDFORD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Fylan steps inside.  Fylan is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Fylan lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, DROPPING TEDFORD TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Tedford has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Fylan is on target with a solid right hook.  
Tedford hits home with a stinging cross.  Tedford throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Fylan retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Tedford accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Fylan.  As Fylan tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tedford dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Fylan lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Fylan attempts to land a cross, but Tedford sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Fylan attempts to land a left uppercut, but Tedford blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Fylan lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Fylan throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Fylan digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Fylan lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Tedford is on target with a jab.  
Fylan finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Tedford throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Fylan is looking to close the distance and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Fylan lands with a ramrod jab.  
Tedford drives a left hook into Fylan's body.  
Tedford lands a hard jab.  
Tedford lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tedford tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a cross, but Fylan sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Fylan gets on the inside and connects with a solid left hook.  
Tedford throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Fylan steps inside.  Fylan digs in a stinging right hook to Tedford's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Tedford.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Fylan lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Fylan drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Fylan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Fylan lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Tedford's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Tedford's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Tedford lands a stinging cross.  Tedford attempts to land a cross, but Fylan sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Fylan gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging left hook to Tedford's liver.  
Fylan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS TEDFORD!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Fylan closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Fylan lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Fylan senses Tedford is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Fylan lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head, AND TEDFORD IS DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Tedford can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Fylan!
