Goro Higashi vs Kei Matsui

Boxing Daily Report from the Koranteng Promotions promoted show at Kei Kubo Gym, Asahikawa,  taking place on 28/08/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hokkaido Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Goro Higashi (7 - 9 - 4) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Kei Matsui(15 - 5(1) - 3) from Hakodate, Japan.  Higashi weighed in at 118 pounds, while Matsui weighed in at 117 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Hara, and the three ringside judges are Yuichi Sano, Goro Mori and Yoshi Ige.  

Round 1: 

Matsui sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Higashi lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Matsui cuts off the ring, trapping Higashi in a neutral corner.  Matsui sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Higashi lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Matsui retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Higashi is whaling away with hooks, but Matsui keeps his defence tight.
