Chris Cammon vs John Cairns

Boxing Daily Report from the Brock promoted show at Des Moines Civic Center Stoner Theater, Des Moines,  taking place on 05/09/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Iowa Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Cammon (14 - 15(2) - 6) who hails from Cedar Rapids, USA and John Cairns(22 - 7 - 1) from Des Moines, USA.  Cammon weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Cairns weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Weatherhead, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Kidd, Dave Weatherhead and Mark Starrett.  

Round 1: 

Cammon steps away from his opponent.  Cairns throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cairns closes the distance.  Cammon voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Cairns tries to tag Cammon on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!
