Mark Edris vs Kyle Gomez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Madison Event Center, Phoenix,  taking place on 06/09/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Arizona Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Edris (20 - 10(5) - 2) who hails from Phoenix, USA and Kyle Gomez(43(37) - 14(9)) from Glendale, USA.  Edris weighed in at 200 pounds and 10 ounces, while Gomez weighed in at 200 pounds.    As Edris came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Dave Wynne, and the three ringside judges are John Charles, Arthur Cerrato and Mick Kimmick.  

Round 1: 

Gomez advances into close range.  Edris throws a left hook, but Gomez ties up his opponent.  Gomez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gomez lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Gomez steps inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Edris throws a right hook, but Gomez ties up his opponent.  Edris leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Edris switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Gomez closes the distance and manouvers Edris into the blue corner.  Gomez lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Gomez clinches his opponent.  Gomez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gomez knows Edris is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Gomez connects with a nasty left uppercut.  EDRIS IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Edris now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Edris steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Edris tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Gomez forces Edris to retreat into the corner.  Gomez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gomez pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gomez closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Edris slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gomez manages to force Edris into the blue corner.  Gomez connects with a right uppercut.  Gomez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gomez pushes his forearm into Edris's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gomez gets on the inside.  Edris attempts to land a left uppercut, but Gomez sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Edris is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Edris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Gomez hits home with a right uppercut.  
Gomez is on target with a left hook.  
Gomez lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.

Edris switches the action to the outside.  Gomez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Edris is on target with a cross.  
Edris throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Gomez is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Gomez hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Gomez pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Gomez lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Gomez pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND EDRIS IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.

Edris is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with an overhand right.
