Felix Wood vs Paul Malpass

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Thomas Robinson Stadium, Nassau,  taking place on 30/09/2043:

Clearly Hands Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Bahamas-New Providence Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Felix Chop Chop Wood (15(13) - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Paul Malpass(7 - 7(1) - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Wood and Malpass weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cole Wadle, and the three ringside judges are Alen Middlemas, Dylan Batie and Blake Shields.  

Round 1: 

Wood drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Wood drives a right hook into Malpass's body.  
Wood manages to force Malpass onto the ropes.  Wood lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Wood lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.

Malpass steps to the outside and lands a sharp jab.  
Malpass lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Wood is looking to close the distance and drives a right uppercut into Malpass's body.  
Wood closes the distance.  Malpass sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wood drives a stinging right hook into Malpass's body.  Wood clinches his opponent.  Wood leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Wood's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wood is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  Wood ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Wood pushes his forearm into Malpass's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wood about fouling.

Wood forces Malpass to retreat onto the ropes.  Wood lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  Wood holds on to his opponent.  Wood is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Wood lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Wood steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malpass throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wood closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Malpass's body.  
Wood quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a sharp right uppercut into Malpass's body.  
Wood hits home with a left uppercut.  
Wood manages to force Malpass onto the ropes.  Wood lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Malpass quickly recovers. 
Wood digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  Wood attempts to land a right hook, but Malpass parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Wood throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Wood clinches his opponent.  Wood leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Malpass throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Wood lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Wood lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Wood lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND KNOCKS MALPASS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Malpass's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Malpass's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Malpass's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Malpass throws a right hook, but Wood clinches his opponent.  Wood tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Malpass behind the head. The ref breaks Wood's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Malpass lands a left hook.  Malpass tries to land a jab, but Wood sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Wood hits home with a cross.  
Wood advances into close range.  Malpass digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malpass connects with a left hook.  
Malpass switches the action to the outside.  Wood connects with a sharp cross.  
Wood is looking to close the distance.  Malpass sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Wood knows Malpass is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Wood is on target with a forceful right uppercut to Malpass's ribcage.  MALPASS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  It looks like Malpass has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING MALPASS DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Wood!
