Ikei Kaukau vs Kanja Balan

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at KLCC Exhibition Hall, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 14/09/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ikei Kaukau (5(3) - 0) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Kanja Balan(19 - 9 - 2) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Kaukau and Balan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haider Amir, and the three ringside judges are Saad Zogby, Ibrahim Mohammed and Haaris Aziz.  

Round 1: 

Kaukau connects with a cross.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kaukau dabs at his face checking for damage.
