Callum Devin vs Fionn Kelly

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at RDS Arena, Dublin,  taking place on 31/10/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Irish Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Callum Devin (18 - 11(5) - 2) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Fionn Kelly(9(7) - 2(1)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Devin weighed in at 104 pounds and 14 ounces, while Kelly weighed in at 104 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Rafferty, and the three ringside judges are Michael Dillon, Leeroy Magee and Rob Nesmith.  

Round 1: 

Kelly advances into close range.  Kelly pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Devin's body.  
Kelly steps to the outside and lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and an overhand left to the head.  
Kelly steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kelly lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Kelly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kelly dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kelly lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kelly closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Kelly walks Devin down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kelly connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Devin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kelly hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Kelly drives a jab into Devin's body.  
Kelly lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kelly gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Devin switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Kelly gets on the inside.  Kelly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.  
Kelly manouvers Devin into a corner.  Kelly lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kelly lands with a spiteful jab.  Kelly tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kelly closes the distance.  Kelly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Kelly connects with a left hook.  
Devin steps away from his opponent.  Kelly feints a jab, and then hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Kelly steps inside.  Kelly lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As Devin tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kelly dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kelly advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Devin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Devin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Devin's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Devin steps away from his opponent.  Kelly throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kelly lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Kelly lands a stinging right uppercut.  Kelly ties up his opponent.  Kelly leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Devin steps away from his opponent.  Kelly lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Kelly feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Devin almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Kelly advances into close range and is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Devin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kelly connects with a firm overhand right.  
Kelly lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Devin steps away from his opponent.  Kelly lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Kelly lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Devin steps away from his opponent.  Kelly is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Devin hits home with an overhand left.  Devin throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Devin is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kelly thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Devin away.  Kelly slams a HUGE left hook into his opponents ribs.  DEVIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Kelly drives a powerful right hook into Devin's ribcage.  DEVIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like Devin has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Kelly is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Kelly steps inside.  Kelly pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging right hook.  DEVIN IS HURT!  
Kelly manages to force Devin into a corner.  Some sustained pressure from Kelly could be enough to finish Devin!  Kelly lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a cross to the head, DROPPING DEVIN TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Devin cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Kelly!
