Carlos Merlo vs Rio Zermeno

Boxing Daily Report from the Boomer Promotions promoted show at Havana Leiva, Havana,  taking place on 29/09/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Merlo (8 - 20(1) - 3) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Rio Zermeno(4 - 6 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Merlo and Zermeno weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Beltran Diaz, and the three ringside judges are Fanuco Recio, Fidel Juarez and Lisandro Abela.  

Round 1: 

Zermeno tries to step out of his opponents range.  Merlo feints a left hook, and then lands an overhand right.
