Sammy Cowie vs Joshua Dennie

Boxing Daily Report from the Belator promoted show at San Antonio Kipe, San Antonio,  taking place on 06/10/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sammy Cowie (13 - 12(4) - 3) who hails from Houston, USA and Joshua Big Tex Dennie(14(11) - 3(2) - 1(NC)) from San Antonio, USA.  Both Cowie and Dennie weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Manatt, and the three ringside judges are Max Mabon, Colin Irish and Charlie Hammell.  

Round 1: 

Dennie lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Dennie steps inside and EXPLODES a FIERCE left uppercut into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE COWIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Dennie forces Cowie to back into the blue corner.  Dennie senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Dennie lands two left hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES COWIE!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like Cowie has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Dennie lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Dennie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Dennie pushes his forearm into Cowie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Dennie about fouling.  
Dennie lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Dennie holds on to his opponent.  Dennie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dennie lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Dennie clinches his opponent.  Dennie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Dennie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cowie attempts to land a right uppercut, but Dennie slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Cowie is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Dennie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Cowie connects with a cross.  
Dennie steps inside and connects with a firm left hook.  
Dennie closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Cowie's body.  
Dennie drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Dennie throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Dennie clinches his opponent.  Cowie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dennie walks Cowie into a corner.  Dennie digs in a firm left hook to Cowie's ribs.  
Dennie is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Dennie drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Dennie ties up his opponent.  Dennie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dennie is on target with a solid left hook to Cowie's body.  Dennie ties up his opponent.  Dennie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cowie steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Dennie digs in a right hook to Cowie's ribs.  
Dennie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and whips in a big left uppercut to Cowie's body.  COWIE IS HURT!  
Dennie sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Dennie lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS COWIE!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Cowie has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Dennie gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Cowie steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cowie's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Cowie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Cowie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Cowie's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Dennie is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Dennie ties up his opponent.  Dennie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cowie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Dennie manouvers Cowie into a corner.  Cowie attempts to land a cross, but Dennie slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cowie throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Dennie is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Dennie lands a right hook.  
Dennie walks Cowie down, trapping him in the corner.  Dennie lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cowie almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Dennie is on target with a left hook.  
Dennie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dennie manages to force Cowie into the corner.  Dennie drives a weighty left uppercut into Cowie's body.  COWIE IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Dennie could be enough to finish Cowie!  Dennie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND COWIE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  It looks like Cowie has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Cowie switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Dennie gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cowie is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Dennie lands two jab's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Cowie switches the action to the outside.  The right shot from Dennie could be enough to force the stoppage!  Dennie lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND COWIE IS DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Dennie!
