Rob Gordon vs Urutu Nene

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Horncastle Arena, Christchurch,  taking place on 02/10/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Gordon (7(3) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Urutu Nene(1 - 1(1) - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Gordon and Nene weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Atchison, and the three ringside judges are Michael Breck, David Neild and Ian Fergerson.  

Round 1: 

Gordon closes the distance.  Gordon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Nene steps to the outside.  Gordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Nene sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gordon lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and an overhand left to the head.  
Gordon gets on the inside.  Gordon digs in a solid right uppercut to Nene's ribs.  Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gordon forces Nene to back into a neutral corner.  Gordon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nene tries to land a left hook, but Gordon sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gordon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gordon lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon pushes his forearm into Nene's face.  The referee warns Gordon and breaks the clinch.  
Gordon advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gordon drives a firm left hook into Nene's body.  
Gordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Gordon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nene throws a left hook, but Gordon ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Gordon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gordon advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gordon cuts off the ring, trapping Nene on the ropes.  Gordon lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Gordon lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gordon lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gordon manouvers Nene into the corner.  Gordon digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Gordon clinches his opponent.  Gordon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gordon pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gordon lands a left hook.  Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Nene's kidney. Gordon hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Gordon advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
Nene steps away from his opponent.  Gordon is on target with a sharp overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nene's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Nene's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Nene's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Gordon is looking to close the distance.  Nene quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gordon lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Nene tries to keep the action at long range.  Gordon lands a cross.  
Gordon is looking to close the distance.  Nene sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gordon lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Nene pivots from in front of his opponent.  Nene attempts to land a cross, but Gordon sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nene quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gordon finds the target with a jab.

Gordon closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS NENE!  He manages to get up at 5.  Nene quickly recovers. 
Nene quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nene tries to land a right hook, but Gordon slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Nene sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gordon digs in a left uppercut to Nene's body.  
Gordon gets on the inside and is on target with a weighty left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  NENE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Nene sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nene throws a left hook, but Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon leans on his opponent using all his weight. Gordon uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Nene's kidney. Gordon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Nene's kidney.

Gordon lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND NENE IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.
