Ahera Nikora vs Denton Mower

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Wa Ngata Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 30/10/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ahera Nikora (10 - 13(4) - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Denton Mower(6 - 5) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Nikora and Mower weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Swaney, and the three ringside judges are Barry Christeson, Jonathan Laurie and Alen Ritchey.  

Round 1: 

Mower connects with an overhand right.  
Mower quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.

Mower steps away from his opponent.  Mower feints a right hook, and then is on target with a cross.  
Mower gets on the inside.  Nikora quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Mower advances into close range.  Mower connects with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Mower has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Nikora advances into close range.  Mower connects with a left hook.  
Nikora steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Nikora attempts to land a jab, but Mower blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
