Alastair Ruto vs Joe Chelanga

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Kikuyu Ebuya, Kikuyu,  taking place on 01/11/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Kiambu Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alastair Ruto (12 - 4(2) - 3) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Joe Chelanga(10 - 1) from Ruiru, Kenya.  Both Ruto and Chelanga weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Itote, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Icharia, Sam Ngugi and Ian Nanji.  

Round 1: 

Chelanga drives a right uppercut into Ruto's ribcage.  Chelanga holds on to his opponent.  Chelanga is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.
